Guys, I know pumpkin spice during fall time is literally the most basic concept of all time, but sorry I need something to live for after being a recluse in quarantine for the past 700 months. I was feeling creative and decided to make my own pumpkin bread and it turned out AMAZING! I didn’t come up with this recipe, but I thought I would share it because it is so easy and you will literally get so many compliments from your friends and family. This recipe makes two loaves so there is plenty to go around, or you could just eat them both by yourself because same.

Ingredient List

  • 1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin puree

  • 4 eggs

  • 1 cup vegetable oil

  • ⅔ cup water

  • 3 cups white sugar

  • 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 teaspoons baking soda

  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg

  • ½ teaspoon ground cloves

  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger

Directions

  • Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour three 7x3 inch loaf pans.

  • Step 2

In a large bowl, mix together pumpkin puree, eggs, oil, water and sugar until well blended. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and ginger. Stir the dry ingredients into the pumpkin mixture until just blended. Pour into the prepared pans.

  • Step 3

Bake for about 50 minutes in the preheated oven. Loaves are done when toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

Look how sexy it looks even unbaked.*Pro tip: This wasn’t included in the original recipe I got it from, but before you bake the bread in the oven, adding a crumble to the top makes it look like its from a professional bakery and makes it taste even…

*Pro tip: This wasn’t included in the original recipe I got it from, but before you bake the bread in the oven, adding a crumble to the top makes it look like its from a professional bakery and makes it taste even better than it would have already. I didn’t really have exact measurements when making it, but you pretty much add one part cold butter to two parts brown sugar and mash it together, and adding in a little bit of flour to create a sandy texture. I also like to add cinnamon or chopped nuts into the crumble too, but it’s not necessary. Once you have a sand-like texture, which using your hands also helps to incorporate all the ingredients, sprinkle this mixture generously over the top of the batter before putting it into the oven to bake.

-Once its done baking I like to add a light dusting of powdered sugar because it’s an easy way to make it look fancier and like it came from an actual bakery.

I got the recipe off of Allrecipes.com, so full credit to them, but thought I would share!
