7 Things To Be Excited About For Fall

Now that summer is finally coming to a close and autumn is quickly approaching, there is nothing I am more excited about than to fully embrace the fall vibes. While summer is debatably one of the most fun seasons imo (and I’m already counting down the days until the next one), there are so many different aspects about fall that just hit different. Although it’s about to start getting dark earlier, which is the one part I absolutely dread, here are the 7 things to be excited about this upcoming season!

Pumpkin Spice Everything

I know it’s not everyone’s favorite, but I am such a sucker for pumpkin spice, whether it’s baked goods, lattes, candles, or even scented soap. It’s basic, but this is truly the hallmark of the season, so I’m going to be indulging until I’m literally sick of it. When I go somewhere and I see that they have a seasonal pumpkin spice menu, best believe I’ll be sprinting to swipe my card.

Staying In To Have Movie Nights

There is really nothing better than staying in a cold night & throwing on a comfort film. If you need any inspo for some good fall movies to watch, Im going to link an article I posted from last October. You can thank me later.

Doing Lots of Baking & Cooking

Fall is the ultimate time for comfort food. I have literally been waiting all summer to whip out my favorite nostalgic recipes for baked goods or for it to finally be the appropriate weather to make a massive pot of chili. Also, don’t get me started on the ten million recipes that I save on TikTok, but will probably never actually have the time to get through. Additionally, how can I forget how elite the side dishes are this season (aka mac and cheese, cornbread, usually some type of cheesy potato concoction, or honestly anything that is loaded with carbs and butter). If I start to gain weight, mind your business.

Halloween

Self explanatory, but trust that even though I am in my twenties I will also still be hitting up a pumpkin patch to get some pumpkins to carve.

Having An Excuse to Hibernate in the House

While I’m all for going out, staying in will always have my heart. I live in LA, so the weather is technically not stopping me from going outside, but I will still make every excuse in the book to stay home, order Postmates, and binge watch my favorite shows. Even just having a night in with friends while cooking and having drinks just feels extra special during this time of year. If you need any ideas for some girls nights you can throw, I’ll be posting a full list soon, so stay tuned.

Putting Up Cute Fall Decor

What better way to get festive than to put up cute decor. Not only have I already been putting out some of the stuff I have from previous years, I always love having a reason to go to shopping for new things that will spice up my house. From pumpkins, to warm-hued candles, to knit throw blankets, there are so many ways to make your home look chic and cozy.

Eating Everything In Sight

Technically you could do this any time of year, but fall is when everyone is making all of their most scrumptious dishes and throwing whole events centered around eating. Also, now that the weather is cooling down, I’m wearing all of my oversized clothes, so I don’t have too feel like my outfits are constricting me the second I take a bite of food.

Thanksgiving/Friendsgiving

Thanksgiving/Friendsgiving is truly the cutest holiday(s) ever. Although I am always grateful, there is nothing more special than getting to spend the day with people that you love, whether that’s your actual family or your friends, while also celebrating/reflecting on your appreciation for everything that you have. Life is always ebbing and flowing, but the people around you are the ones who make the journey worth it and that much more fun.
