Essentials to Keep In Your Purse If You’re Going on a Date
Especially since dates can already be kind of nerve-wracking in general, it’s always best to stay prepared and have the essentials on hand. Here are all of the best things you should keep in your purse when going on a date to make sure you’re always ready and can bring your a-game.
Also, just a disclaimer, if you’re like me and always carry a tiny purse, all of these items may not fit in your bag, so just narrow it down to the most necessary items for you!
Gum & Mints
Pretty self-explanatory, but I literally never come to a date without some mints and gum. There’s obviously nothing less hot than having bad breath. Especially if you’re going out to dinner, it’s key to just have some gum to pop in your mouth afterward.
Lip Balm, Lip Gloss, Lip Liner
Even though I carry way too many lip products in my bag for my own good, having juicy, moisturized lips is an absolute must. Like, who doesn’t want to have the most kissable lips on a date?
Mini Perfume
Especially if you put on a perfume that wears off sort of quickly, it’s always good to keep a mini with you just in case you need to touch up. Either get a sample size of the one you wear or I also like getting rollerball perfumes to keep my purse.
Mini Deodorant
It really doesn’t how pretty, funny, or smart you are if you aren’t smelling right. Always keep this in your bag, just in case. Especially if you know you may be spending the night at their place after, it’s nice to have on hand so you can reapply.
Powder
Not totally necessary, but just have it on stand by to help prevent yourself from looking too shiny or greasy.
Mini Hair Brush or Comb
This is prefect for mid-date if you go to the bathroom quickly and need to fix your hair.
Hair Ties, Scrunchy, or Hair Clip
You never know if you may need/want to put your hair up.
Floss/Floss Picks
I feel like this is something people don’t always think about putting in their bag, but it’s so good to have. I am really not trying to go out to dinner with a guy and have something stuck in my teeth. One time I went to sushi on a date & I literally had to go to the bathroom because I could immediately feel that seaweed got stuck in my teeth and I was fighting for my life trying to get it out with no floss. Please learn from my mistake lol.
Make-Up Remover Wipes
This one is best if you know you’re going to stay over at their place after the date and don’t want to sleep in your makeup. I’d suggest getting the mini or individually packaged ones so that they don’t take up too much room in your bag.
Pepper Spray
God forbid you’d ever need to use this on a date, but it’s always good to have some way to be able to defend yourself as a woman. I’ve always been a pink pepper spray girly.
