Greenbar Hibiscus Spritz Review

Since every alcohol company known to man has jumped on the canned, sparkling drink trend, I am always on the look out for the newest and coolest brands to try out. Like don’t get me wrong I was totally into White Claws like a year and a half ago, but why sell myself short when there are literally so many options now. While shopping at Lazy Acres the other day, I saw a drink that really caught my eye, by the brand Greenbar, which I have never heard of before.

Like look at how absolutely adorable this packaging is. It’s a cute color of pink, there’s a heart on the front, the overall design looks super clean, and you can’t tell me that a lush & tangy hibiscus spritz doesn’t sound absolutely amazing. Also another plus is that it is organic.

When I purchased it, I cannot tell you have excited I was to try it because literally everything about this drink seemed perfect. I have done quite a few reviews on this blog and almost all of them have been positive, but it is my duty to be honest with you guys about the products that I try. With that being said, I literally HATED this drink. It was literally soo bitter that the taste actually caught me off guard and considering that this drink has almost 200 calories, which I am assuming comes from the added sugar, it is shocking that it tastes the way it does. This drink has a lot of different herbs, which may have been what contributed to it’s overall all flavor, but I think the main culprit is due to the fact they add something called “bitters” to this drink. And I totally get that some people may be into bitters, which is why they even sell it in the first place, but they need to seriously need plaster that all over the packaging so people can be aware! Like instead of calling it “lush & tangy,” they should have called it “bitter & tangy.” If you’re into bitter things then definitely try it, but if you’re not, consider yourself warned, especially if you’re only intrigued by the extremely cute packaging.

This was literally me after trying this beverage:
