LA Restaurant Review: Fia
I have been totally slacking when has come to posting about restaurant reviews, so I’m honestly going to try my best to keep you guys up to date. For my boyfriend’s birthday, I really wanted to go somewhere that had a great ambiance, but also delicious, aesthetically pleasing food, which was how I decided on Fia. I had never been before, but had heard and seen amazing things and was not disappointed upon actually dining there!
For drinks, I ordered the Pink Panther, which had vodka, fresh lemon, cactus pear, ginger, aquafaba, and garnished with cinnamon, & my boyfriend got the Fia Collins, which had vodka, fresh citrus, peach, and sparkling water. Both drinks were super delicious & refreshing, but I personally loved the Pink Panther the best because of how cute and girly the entire drink was.
For appetizers, we ordered:
Spicy Salmon Tartare Cones with Avocado Mousse and Salmon Caviar
Spicy Chili Tuna on Crispy Arrancini
Caeser Salad (I know sooo boring, but their Caeser here is actually one of the best ones I’ve ever had)
I really enjoyed all of the appetizers, but by far the Spicy Salmon Cones were my favorite. I probably could’ve eaten like 6 of them and called it a day. If you come here you need to try them!
For dinner, since it was my bf’s birthday, he wanted to eat pasta so we decided on:
One of the dishes on specials’ menu (tbh I have no clue what it was called, but it was like a creamy marinara dish topped with spicy sausage and truffle ricotta)
Lobster Capellini
Both tasted super delicious, but I usually prefer pastas with creamy white sauces & lot of cheese because I’m a fatass. Regardless, I still enjoyed them & ate the leftovers at midnight when I was catching up on Love Island UK lol.
Now for the best part, DESSERT!
We ordered:
The Chocolate Dome: Caramelized dark chocolate mousse, coffee cream, almond praline, cocoa biscuit
Overall, I really loved Fia and definitely want to come back to try more things on the menu. This is definitely a perfect place for a date spot or a girls’ night because it super cute & instagram-worthy, &, best of all, their food looks & tastes just as good. So glad I tried this spot out & would definitely recommend it to all you who want to venture down to the westside!
