Download This App & Be The Coolest Person In Your Friend Group
Everyone knows that one person who always just knows where to go & all of the coolest spots to be at. While a lot of us can get stuck in the same cycle of going to the same repeat places, I have recently discovered the best app that will show you all of the hottest places that you need to be at (especially now that summer has begun).
SOooooo, the app is called “Pao” and it is literally the love-child between Instagram & Yelp because it allows people to upload pictures from restaurants, bars, wineries, & other hangout spots, but also search specific areas to find new hidden gems.
Like there are literally hundreds of different places to choose from !!!!
As you can see in the photos above, this app allows you to either search through a list in a general area (I chose Los Angeles, but you could even go more specific) or you can even utilize the map feature that allows you to zoom in on specific regions to find new places in a more particular area. One thing I love about this app, which is similar to Instagram, is that people really work to post aesthetically pleasing photos, which helps to fully show the vibe of each place, whereas with Yelp, it is often saturated with many photos that are horribly taken and of poor quality.
Besides getting to share your own photos of places you have been to, I love that this app allows you to save new places that you find & also divides them in a file based on location, which makes it a lot easier to sort through for later when you’re actually ready to go out. Especially if you are a frequent traveler and want to save places from a wide range of locations, this feature is sooo useful.
Here is what I mean by how it is divided when you save places. Obviously I’ve only saved spots in LA, but they literally have so many states & even countries to find places from!
Because I have often found that Yelp often recommends the same place over and over, Pao is so amazing due to the fact that it is constantly being updated with new businesses and has the goal of giving more lowkey hot spots a platform to be seen on. This helps people to stop having to go to the same overhyped bars and restaurants that are crowded with the same people every week. Despite that I clearly am obsessed with this app already, it also is women-founded, which is just another one of the many reason you should download it right now.
