How to Be the Girl That Got Away
Don't get me wrong; it obviously hurts when someone you were interested in turns out to be just not that into you. However, there's truly nothing more satisfying than turning that pain into the motivation to become the girl that got away. Sometimes a little rejection is just what the doctor ordered to become your best self and move on to bigger and better things! Here's the scoop:
Never Beg For A Guy To Stay
Whether a guy has already expressed to you that he’s not interested or has started to pull back with his communication, you are really just going to have to take this in stride and continue to act unbothered. What ever you do, absolutely do not send any long texts to him trying to ask what happened or even waste time trying to figure out the situation. Match his energy & peace the fuck out. The last thing you want to do is look bitter or desperate.
2. Level Up
While you may want to worry about where things potentially went wrong and gossip about it with all your besties for hours on end, start using your valuable energy to focus on yourself. Every person has weak areas, so the best thing you can do is take more time to improve these parts of your life that are currently lacking. There is truly nothing worse than time passing you by and realizing you are in the same position you were just a couple of months ago. When you actually start to make progress and transform, both physically and mentally, best believe people WILL notice.
3. Set Clear Boundaries
This is pretty self-explanatory, but it's crucial to note that people are attracted to and respect those who prioritize and respect themselves. Especially as you begin to improve yourself, many people will naturally want to gravitate into your life again, but resist letting them back in too easily. After all, people always want what they can't have.
4. Welcome More Excitement & Happiness Into Your Life
There is truly no greater form of revenge than simply being happy and living your best life. Start going out with your friends more, meet new people, and say yes to new opportunities. When your life is fun and exciting, people will always wish that they could be a part of it too.
Also important disclaimer: By having more fun, this does NOT mean going out and partying every night. For obvious reasons, that’s just not a good look.
