My All Time Favorite Holiday Cookies
Happy Holidays, everyone! This is one of the best times of the year, mainly because of all the yummy food that’s around, so I thought I would share the recipe for one of my favorite holiday cookies that I am obsessed with. I guess these are technically just Russian tea cakes, but they look like snowballs, which makes them extra festive for this season. My mom and I make these every year and they are always a hit, but be careful because you can easily down like 15 of these without even realizing. Enjoy <3
Ingredients:
1 c butter
1/2 c powdered sugar
2 1/4 c flour, sifted
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 c almond flour
extra powdered sugar & sprinkles
What to do:
In a large bowl, mix butter, 1/2 c sugar, vanilla, and salt on low speed for about one minute.
Make sure the mixture is blended well, then gradually add flour at low speed until just combined.
Stir in almond flour.
Roll dough into 1 inch spheres and place them 1 inch apart on your baking sheet.
Bake at 350°F for 8-10 minutes until firm to touch, but not brown in color.
While warm, roll in powdered sugar (optional: and sprinkles) before serving
