Current Summer 2024 Bucket List

I don’t know about you, but even though it’s still spring, it’s already starting to feel like summer, which has been getting me so excited.

Every year I always post a summer bucket list of things I want to do, so of course I couldn’t wait to already start on this year’s. Something about creating an actual list is not only nostalgic, but it’s also super amazing because it helps you keep track of everything you want to do. My list is currently still on the shorter side since I started it so early, but I definitely will post an updated version closer to the actual start of summer when I come up with more ideas.

Even though I may totally be jumping the gun by posting this right now, I thought it would be fun to share what I have so far to help everyone else also get pumped for summer and get ready to make the best memories. I really feel like summer 2024 is going to pop off!

  • Keep getting sexier - I have already started on my pre-summer glow up, but that doesn’t mean I plan to stop once summer actually begins. I definitely want to continue working on my fitness, eating healthy, taking care of myself, and just looking absolutely best. I’m only young once, so I might as well look hot too.

  • Go on more dates/have a summer fling/kiss cute boys - I have pretty much been in my single era since last summer, but have honestly just been keeping to myself for the most part. This summer I definitely want to put myself out there a little bit more and go on some cute dates. You really never know who’s around the corner that you could potentially meet. Also, life’s exponentially more fun when you have a crush to giggle and be excited about.

  • Make summer foods & cocktails/mocktails - I absolutely love going to the farmers market every week, so I cannot wait for all of the produce that’ll be in season for summer to make fresh and healthy meals with. Also, summer wouldn’t be summer without an aperol spritz and some other fun, fruity drinks.

  • Go to the beach - This is pretty self-explanatory for summer, but considering I live like 3 minutes from the beach, I do not go nearly as much as I should.

  • Get some new bikinis - There’s honestly so many bikinis I’ve had my eye on that I currently want. If you want me to create a whole article on the styles and brands I’ve been loving, let me know & I can post that soon!

  • Post a cute bikini pic on insta - In theory, this might seem a bit thirsty, but honestly, I rarely post pictures like this on my Instagram, so it's more about having the confidence to do it.

  • Get a tan (but protect my face of course) - I’m not even kidding when I say that I’m as pale as Casper the ghost right now. I desperately need a little bit of color, so whether that means actually going out in the sun or using fake tan, I’m promising myself that I’ll at least get somewhat of a tan. But, of course, I’m going to be wearing a hat and a ton of sunscreen on my face because there’s no way I’m going to let myself get any sun damage.

  • Take myself on a solo date - I said earlier I wanted to go on more dates with some cute guys, but that doesn’t mean I can’t also take myself on a couple dates too. There’s really nothing like spicing up your own life. If you need any solo date ideas, there’s an article on here that was recently posted about this.

  • Go to a rooftop - If I’m not on a rooftop this summer with a drink in my hand and dancing to some music, I don’t want it.

  • Have a movie night - Honestly, I’d be down for a movie night any time of year, but I had to add this because it’s always nice to have a fun night-in activity too, especially since most people think summer is only dedicated to being out and about. Like, I love just being cuddled up on the couch with a good movie and some snacks.

  • Make gnocchi - This is kind of random, but I’ve always wanted to make gnocchi so I thought it would be appropriate to add this to the list.

  • Have a spa day - Self-explanatory. Who doesn’t love a good day of relaxation & self care?

  • Play tennis - I’m honestly too much of an indoorsy person these days & need to go outside immediately. Tennis is one of my old hobbies from high school and it’s so fun to play in the summer time when the weather is sunny. Plus, it’s also a great excuse to wear cute little skirts and workout outfits.

  • Try some new activities and meet more new friends - Especially living in LA, there are so many groups, clubs, and classes to get involved in. Not only do I think it’s great to start getting into more activities and hobbies to stay busy, I’m also so down to chat it up and meet some new people. If anything, I’d kind of want to start my own little group that people could join and make friends at!
