It’s Time To Get Back On Your Zoom

Although it’s normal for everyone to get lazy from time to time, getting back on your grind after a slump or setback is completely achievable with a focused approach. Here are some easy steps you can take to help you regain your motivation and get your groove back:

1. Start Exercising and Move Your Body:

  • Physical activity, even a short daily workout, can boost your energy levels and improve your mood. Choose an exercise routine that you enjoy, whether it's pilates, walking, or going to the gym.

  • Regular exercise releases endorphins, which are natural mood lifters. It can help reduce stress, increase motivation, and improve overall well-being.

  • Working out will also help to transform your physical body and allow you to become more visibly fit and toned. Especially when you feel good about the way you look on the outside, you will have even more confidence to take on your goals in other areas of your life.

2. Create a Solid Daily Routine:

  • A well-structured daily routine provides a sense of stability and control. It is extremely important to implement certain non-negotiables throughout your day, such as allocating time for work, self-care, and relaxation.

  • Consistency is the key to success. Stick to your routine as closely as possible to build discipline and maintain focus.

3. Fuel Your Body with Healthier Foods:

  • A balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains provides the necessary nutrients to support your physical and mental health.

  • Proper nutrition can enhance cognitive function, making it easier to stay productive and motivated throughout the day. Even though junk food can taste so delicious in the moment, making sure you have it in moderation will help to keep you from feeling sluggish.

4. Outline Your Weeks and Set Goals:

  • Create a weekly plan that outlines your tasks and goals. Knowing what to expect helps reduce stress and increases productivity.

  • Set specific, measurable, and achievable goals. Break them down into smaller steps to make progress more manageable.

5. Prioritize Getting Good Rest:

  • Quality sleep is essential for cognitive function, mood regulation, and overall health. Aim for 7-9 hours of sleep per night.

  • Establish a relaxing bedtime routine and create a comfortable sleep environment to ensure restorative rest.

  • Also, if you are absolutely addicted to your phone (as many of us are), try to set a cut off time each night to put it away. It’s so easy to think you are having a quick scroll on social media before bed & the next second you look at the time it’s already 1:30 am.

6. Take Baby Steps:

  • When re-establishing your routine, start with small, achievable tasks. This approach prevents feeling overwhelmed and builds confidence.

  • Gradually increase the complexity of your tasks and goals as you regain your motivation and momentum.

Getting back on your zoom requires patience and perseverance. It's natural to face challenges along the way, but by following these steps and staying committed to your objectives, you can regain your momentum and work towards living your best life.
