LA Restaurant Review: Norah

Soooo for those who do not know me, I am a major foodie. I always love trying new places and luckily for me, living in Los Angeles, there are literally some of the best restaurants around. I’ve mentioned in some of my previous blog posts that I actually have an entire instagram dedicated to just food, but I have decided to start doing to some reviews here on Snobbish so I can give everyone the real inside scoop!

For my first review, I am going to be talking about Norah, which is a trendy restaurant in West Hollywood that I just went to for the first with my cousin to have brunch.

So pretty much my cousin and I just shared everything, so I’ll just explain everything shown in the picture.

Little Gem Salad - lemon oregano vinaigrette, pumpkin seeds, ricotta salata:

  • This salad was literally so delicious! Despite that it was nothing over the top, I really enjoyed how light and fresh it was. I would obviously not recommend eating this salad as a whole meal, due to the lack of toppings & that it was generally on the smaller side, but this is the perfect dish to go along with other courses and that will not make you feel over-stuffed. Also, I literally loved the vinaigrette so much, my cousin and I ended up remaking it together and I have eaten it at home so many times now. Let me know if you want me to post the recipe (it is so easy). 9/10

Yellowtail Crudo - hibiscus ponzu, puffed black rice:

  • Ladies and Gentlemen…… HER. If you come here this is a must. Like I can’t even exactly explain why, but this dish was divine. The fish tasted extremely fresh and if you can see in the photo shown above, there is this white cream stuff that they put on top that had a sort of smokey flavor that just pulled the whole dish together. Also, the puffed black rice and the jalapeño added a nice crunch and spice too. Although I would eat this meal any day of the year, it gave me such a fun summer vibe. 100000/10

Oysters:'

  • I usually don’t really go out of my way to eat oysters, but these ones were so bomb. I like that they were on the smaller side and they came with a citrusy onion sauce that complimented them really well. 8.5/10

Uni Butter Poached Shrimp - smoked tomato, scallions, cilantro:

  • This was definitely not what I expected when I ordered this dish, but I cannot sing enough praises about how delicious it tasted. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and was in the most creamy and buttery uni sauce. This scrumptious sauce literally deserves a damn Michelin star because it’s tasted so good. On the side, it also came with a warm bread twist that was crunchy on the outside, but really soft and chewy in the middle, which I used to dip in the sauce. You need this in your life. period. 10/10
