The New Drink I’ve Been Obsessed With

Hard seltzers literally have all the hype right now, but I recently have been obsessed with a new drink that I want to put all of you onto: Golden State Cider. First of all, can we talk about how aesthetically pleasing the packaging is. Like it literally looks so cute and I love the incorporation of bright colors, which are on-brand for summer.

For those of you who don’t know, cider is made from fermented apples, which sounds gross, but it is really similar to the process of making kombucha or beer (but tastes way better than beer because it’s like juice!).

Cider is def more popular in the UK and Ireland (according to Google lol), but it actually tastes so good and I like that it’s something different than just basic ass White Claws, but not as aggressive as having beer. Despite that they have a little bit more calories than hard seltzers, I have found that I actually get tipsy faster from them, so I end up not drinking as much over all, which helps me to stay snatched.

Golden State Ciders come in lots of different flavors, but my favorites are probably the “Might Dry” (the original flavor), which tastes like apple juice, and the “Jamaica” flavor, which is meant to be their take on agua frescos, including notes of hibiscus and berries. These are also fun because you can use the different flavors to make cocktails by adding whatever types of other alcohol, fruits, or juices that you like (They have a bunch of recipes on their website https://www.drinkgoldenstate.com/core-series.html).

In addition, I also love that this brand uses extremely minimal packaging and for the packaging that they do use, it is made from recycled milk jugs, which reduces their carbon footprint and promotes sustainability.

I feel like ciders often get a bad rep because they are grouped into the same category as beer or seem outdated, but you all need to try these ones because they are so delicious and will definitely be my new thing for this summer!
