Start Your Glow Up In Time For Summer

Even though spring has pretty much just started, summer is going to sneak up on us before we know it. I feel like most people can agree with the statement that summer is one of the best times of year just based off the fact that the sun shines for longer, more people are out and about socializing, and the vibes are always high. While there are still a couple months leading up to June, this is perfect time to get your pre-summer glow up in order to be looking and feeling your best. Here are our best tips:

Create An Exercise Routine You Can Actually Stick To

While I know a lot of people hate exercising, finding simple workouts you can do regularly and fit into your schedule is key. If you want to get your body into amazing shape, it’s not so much about how difficult your workout is, but more about your ability to stay consistent. Just start simple, and once you’ve mastered your current exercise routine, you can begin to slowly challenge yourself more and incorporate new things.

Get Your Hair Done

This one is a pretty easy glow up hack because everyone looks a million times better after they’ve gotten their hair refreshed at the salon. If this is something that you have been putting off, just make an appointment and go, even if it’s just for a little trim! Trust me, your confidence will be through the roof after.

Put More Effort Into Your Sleep Schedule

While there are so many things you can do during the day to look and feel good, people often forget that sleep is just as important. During sleep, your body goes into repair mode, repairing and rejuvenating cells, tissues, and muscles. Additionally, getting enough sleep helps to regulate hormone levels, including cortisol and insulin, which can affect skin health and overall appearance. Not only will having a better sleep schedule allow you to rest and recharge each night, you’ll also be able to wake up earlier each day and have the proper energy to be productive throughout your daily tasks. Creating a night routine to look forward to can help a lot with your winding down process.

Keep Your Room/Space Clean

This won’t necessarily do anything to your physical appearance, but keeping a clean space will work wonders on the way that you feel each day. Clutter just causes you to feel overwhelmed and chaotic, so set aside time each week to keep everything around you room/home organized. Even just making your bed each day can make a huge difference. Summer is all about being fun and carefree, so you don’t want your messy room to be interfering with the good vibes.

Be Around People Who Are Motivating and Positive

You are who you surround yourself, so be intentional about who you spend your time with. When you hang out with like-minded people who are positive, focused on their goals, and just have really good energy, the more you will notice how much more motivated and happier that you are too. The insecure friends and debbie downers have got to go.

Clean Up Your Diet

Cleaning up your diet can have a major impact on both your physical appearance and overall well-being. By focusing on nutrient-dense foods such as fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains, you can provide your body with the essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants it needs to thrive. Reducing processed foods and added sugars while increasing your intake of organic, whole foods can help improve digestion, boost energy levels, and support a healthy weight. Additionally, making mindful choices about portion sizes, not eating late at night, and practicing moderation can help prevent overeating and promote a balanced approach to eating.

Create a Mood/Vision Board

Whether you make a physical vision board, digital collage, or even a Pinterest board, having a place to put down your goals and inspiration is so key in cultivating the vibe of your summer glow up. Honestly, make it as delusional as possible because usually half the stuff will end up coming true at some point anyway.
